Bleah pretty much because Aik Hui and i missed our orientation tour to the genocide museum. We remembered the meeting time wrongly and hence missed the tour. Before that, we did some sight seeing on our own around Old Town. It is gorgeous, but after some time of walking in heavy boots and coat really takes a toll on the body and it just gets exhausting and not fun. After walking around, we went to the school cafeteria. For the first time, we went in and ate something. The food was awesome, but really not that cheap for food serve in school. Then again, it doesn't help that the school is situated on city center, in which food beyond the school compound would truly be not economical. Even so, i love the soup from the school cafeteria. I love it how they drink soup with sour cream aplenty too. yummilicious!
Enough with food. Not quite. At least that was for that part of the day. Having missed the tour, Aik Hui and i decided to miss orientation altogether for that day to prepare for that night's National Dish Party. Simply put, people from various countries prepare their national dish. Aik Hui and i cooked bah gu teh which he brought from home. It was stupid how we carried a pot of soup across the street. Anyhow, people weren't very receptive to the soup judging from it's appearance i guess. Plus, we didn't have a ladle for it. In the end, Aik Hui scooped the soup into cups then more people drank it. My prawn rolls and durian candy got their "all clear" pretty soon. Fnger food! always work at situations like this. People always choose the more convenient one. (: We then told Azamat how the binzin candy was going fast and he got amused and cheekily decided to give the durian candy another try. Saykal ate some too. (: Generally, the Lithuanians like the durian candy. Vaida, Aik Hui's, mentor, liked it. She's vegetarian so that's the only thing she could try. As for me, I was pretty lazy to go take the food. I stuck to a slice of Saykal's super convenient pancake bread thingie can't remember its name and had a spoonful or two of rice from uzbekistan. Then soon Saykal took me in search of vodka. haha. We found vodka at the Polish table. My Polish neighbours are crazy fun. (: I haven't got their names right still. It's Sandra, that's definitely right, Karolina, i think and i can't remember the last girl's name. eeks! Anyhow, Saykal asked for pure vokda from Karolina for both of us. I got tipsy real soon since i was starving from before, but ate close to nothing. Saykal got really high. hehe. It was absolute madness and uber fun-ness. Later we went back to the Polish booth and got some Polish vodka. It was really no kick, but real tasty and fun. Karolina added 1/4 vodka and 3/4 sprite, then squeezed in some lemon. She then covered the shot with the lemon and bang it hard on the table a couple of times and instructed me to finish it in one shot. It was fun. (: Definitely.
Things got to the best when the food were all gone and people just started dancing. It was wickedly wild!! THIS ONE IS FOR YOU INNA!!!! The crazy people danced lambada that night. the WHOLE room was linked together hands to hips. haha. Real awesome. (: Guess what Inna taught me really came in handy. hehe.
Alright, all in all, me being lazy by the end of the blog again, shall just sum it all up now.
Aik Hui and i went back at close to 11pm. He was kinda a party pooper cause he just sat there when people were dancing and merry making, and he wanted to go back when everyone was still having fun. Then again, i heeded my mom's advice and figured that it's only good that i don't stay out too late as well. Damn i'm edging in on breaking our promise. No clubs yet, but this is already getting way to close to one. Discipline kid. Discipline.
On our way back i make my first snowball and threw my first snowball at Aik Hui. It was not a snow fight cause i restricted him from throwing back at me! hehe. He made a snow angel instead! woots!
SO!! There we go something more positive definitely. Hope that things can only get better! (:
